Andy Shaw and Rob Struckett retain their lead of the 2026 Inter14 World Championship with another race win, but Glen Truswell and Ed FitzGerald close the gap.
The fifth race introduced the discard, which changed the points score, if not the positions. Shaw and Struckett won race 5 and dropped a 2nd, while Truswell and FitzGerald were second and dropped a 9th moving them to within one point of Shaw and Struckett with two races still to sail.
Adam Ovington and Stu Keegan posted a 24th which they discarded to retain third overall on 16 pts. While Canada’s Lauren Laventure and Jason Lemieux were 8th, discarding an earlier 8th to retain fourth overall on 20 pts
Germany’s Sebastian Prüter and Philipp Kastell were 3rd and after discarding an 11 are 5th overall with 24 pts.
New into the top ten are Greg Loffree and Trevor Parekh of Canada, a 5th place allowing them to discard a hefty 30th to claim 10th overall.
