2026 ILCA 6 Women’s World Championship – Medal Series Adjusted Points allocated

After one final Elimination Series race (QE5) Friday, the top ten qualifiers for Saturday’s  ILCA 6 Final/Medal Series races have been allocated with their Adjusted Points (AP).

Winner of the final gold fleet race was Britain’s Matilda Nicholls, second Florencia Chiarella PER and third Casey Imeneo of Australia. The win for Nicholls, and a second discard, puts her in fifth place and within reach of a podium place. Hannah Snellgrove GBR is in ninth.

Ireland’s Eve McMahon had a 52 in the final race, but saved by the discard got into the medal races in 9th to keep home hopes alive.

The application of the AP format for the medal series does not change the leaderboard order, but does compress the scores by halving the nett points. In this case what was a 49 pts spread between 1st and 10th is reduced to 25 pts.

Overall leader, Charlotte Rose of the USA retains her lead, now with 15 pts, second is Emma Plasschaert BEL with 20 pts and third Anna Munch DEN with 25 pts.

In the recent men’s ILCA 7 Championship using the AP format, the winner Jonatán Vadnai of Hungary, started the medal races in 5th with an AP of 42, eleven points behind the leader, and the silver medal winner  started in 9th. So expect some upsets.
