Denmark’s Jørgen Schoenherr and Britain’s Ed Wright, take the lead of the 2026 Star European Championship with four races completed on the IJsselmeer.
Schoenherr and Wright (2, 5) have 19 pts with second Jack Jennings and Andrew Palfrey (USA/AUS) on 24 pts and third Robert Scheidt and Austin Sperry (BRA/USA) with 27 pts.
The first race (R3) went to Diego Negri and Sergio Lambertenghi (ITA) who led from start to finish, with Schoenherr and Wright in second, and Germany’s Max Kohlhoff and Ole Burzinski in third. In fourth were Nick Heuwinkel and Jesper Spehr of Germany.
The second race went to Robert Scheidt and Austin Sperry, their second win of the series. Second were Jennings and Palfrey with third Doug Smith and Brian O’Mahoney (USA).
Three races scheduled between over Friday and Saturday.
